It's been lovely spending time with my family-I haven't done that in a while, and it's always good to spend a day with them or so. My dad bought a new karaoke game on the wii (even though we were pretty much completely tone deaf and didn't have a great knowledge of some of the lyrics) and we had a great time. Today, even though we are the sort of people that get very moody when it gets hot, we still had a good day-I credit scattering away to the shade in the hottest hours.
I did some gardening, which I haven't done in a long while-and I just couldn't resist using a little cutting for my desk. This month I have been really loving the different hydrangea colours-there are so many varieties, and I can't wait until I get some more.
My second was some very much-needed argan oil, as my hair is suffering under the sunshine and humidity and needs a little more TLC than usual. All you do is put it on towel-dried hair and carry on with your day, which I definitely appreciate. And, whilst at other shops you might be able to snag this for around £4, I managed to get this beauty for a mere £1-absolute bargain. I haven't tried this out yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I do.
The second thing I wasn't actually looking out for, but I'd seen this on a youtube tutorial and thought it looked super cute-it's called a nail rock pen in this shop, but it's essentially a set that has nail varnish and a nail pen in one, as well as some lilac flocking powder to create some fur effect nails. It did also come with some nail accessories, but I've never been a huge fan of sticking 3d things onto my nails. Again, because it was from the factory shop I got it for an impressive £1. I've tried it on one nail already, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed-the majority of the flocking powder has survived doing washing up, rummaging around my room and various daily tasks.
And that has been me for the day! It was pretty relaxed due to the heat, as I was meant to go to a festival but I just know I would have been so moody. I'm looking forward to having a spa day tomorrow, and trying out a few new products. See you soon!
